The globetrotting son of the leader of the North American Palatinate wants to freely party without interference from either his father or the dedicated security team assigned to him.

Life gets serious for the young man, or RWB as he likes to be called, when his father dies mysteriously. He now must balance his hard living against the need to effectively govern the Palatinate he inherited from his father. His annoyance at officious government officials is compounded by his worry about the teams infiltrating the North American continent who are dedicated to his destruction.

To further complicate his life, RWB falls in love with a girl he met at a party. Scout Donner simultaneously intrigues and frustrates him. He must make choices to focus on the Palatinate, or Scout. The repeated attacks and his tumultuous relationship rapidly build to the greatest crisis of his life.
